Caroline Beane, Vice President and Landscape Designer

Caroline received her B.S. degree from the University of Maryland in Ornamental Horticulture with a minor in Landscape Design. After graduating, she worked for eight years with the University of Maryland Co-operative Extension Service, becoming the first woman Agriculture/Horticulture extension agent in Maryland. Since then Caroline has worked for Melwood Training Center, and she has chaired the Horticulture Department at Charles County Community College. Caroline most recently managed Denison Landscape and Nursery's Residential Division, where she designed and installed award-winning gardens. She brings to LDI over 43 years of experience in horticulture and landscaping, and she still loves "the excitement I see in a client's face when they experience their personal design coming alive in their yard. It seems to astonish them."

Paul Meyers, Landscape Architect

Paul received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Penn State University. He has also taken horticulture classes through The George Washington University’s Landscape Design program. This is his 16th year working as a landscape designer in the Washington metro area, focusing on residential design projects from small urban gardens to large suburban properties. Paul brings a wide background of experience from all aspects of landscape design and installation including drafting, CADD design, project management and crew management. He greatly enjoys the transformation of outdoor spaces to beautiful, relaxing private gardens that meet individual client needs.

Tom Hamm, Landscape Architect

Tom received a B.S. degree from Delaware Valley College in Ornamental Horticulture and a MLA degree from Cornell University in Landscape Architecture. He has worked for more than 26 years designing award-winning residential gardens with particular interest in developing thoughtful outdoor living spaces for family entertainment and relaxation. Tom tries to combine his horticulture and design training to create these spaces with both a design flare and a practical quality for appropriate planting, drainage and construction details. He feels for any design to be truly successful, it must reflect the needs, tastes and budget of the client.
